Edge Boutique

The Story

Edge Boutique had just acquired a spacious suite downtown for their new men's concept store and needed a full suite of services to prepare for opening day. We worked with them to develop brand identity, packaging, website design and promotional materials.

The Work
Phase 1: Identity Building

Edge needed a brand identity that communicated cutting edge, high-end fashion, yet was still approachable for the average man. We achieved this through a strategic combination of linear and curvilinear lines and bold color contrast of red and black. With the logo finalized, it was time to bring the brand to life. We designed custom hang tags, tissue paper and shopping bags that were dark and sleek, to mimic the sharp, clean lines of their merchandise.

Phase 2: The Digital Frontier
With brand standards established, we began design and development of their website. The site needed to look progressive, while also allowing for the display of an ever-expanding selection of apparel and accessories. We accomplished this by creating a sleek interface with a dark palette and varied textures that could be the backdrop to large photo galleries, rotating banners and variable sidebars.

Phase 3: Mass Media
After launch, we moved into high gear with the design and copywriting of several promotional materials including postcards, media sheet, edge rewards, style notes, signature event invitations and print magazine advertisements.

The Result
Edge became an established downtown destination for weekly cocktail trunk shows, men's style makeovers and the hottest fashion release parties. Edge was featured in several local shopping guides in Austin and received multiple press mentions.
